I wanted an older Charter since I had tried a new version of the Off Duty 38 last year and just didn't like the trigger action. Hopefully I'll get a chance to try it out soon. Even with standard pressure loads, that big bullet has a lot of momentum behind it. I just had examined some of the ballistics of self defense rounds out there, and given my preference to a wheely for a carry piece it seemed that the 44 special was a very good option. I don't know why I specifically was interested in a 44 special. ![]()
